The BIOVITAE® ORBIT, PRO, LOBBY models allow modulating the BIOVITAE® irradiance according to the type of effectiveness that is recommended for the installation environment. Models for home or commercial use control microbial proliferation by keeping the number of CFUs (Colony Forming Units) low without ever making the environment sterile, as living in a completely bacteria-free environment would nullify the natural immune system’s ability to react. On the contrary, the models for medical use are designed to make the environment as sterile as possible, to avoid risks of contagion to people whose immune system has already been compromised.
